How to Reach Andaman – By SEA

– Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair

1. To and fro Ship services available from Chennai, Kolkata, and Vishakhapatnam

2. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa 

3. There is only one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month 

4. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours

Places to visit in Andaman – Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar Capital):

1. Cellular Jail Museum

– First place to visit during your tour of Andaman – The Cellular Jail constructed between 1896 and 1906, also known as Kaala Pani (black waters)

2. Corbyn’s Cove Beach

 – If you wish to break down from town, walk away 6KM (approx) from central Port Blair to rest at silver sand and then rejuvenate options like water activity options, must visit in Tour Of Andaman

3. Chatham Saw Mill

 – Located in Chatham Island, is a mill established in 1883 to meet the local requirements of saw and timber for the constructional works. It is owned by the state government

5. Anthropological Museum

6. Wandoor Beach

– Wandoor beach is one of the popular beaches of Andaman that lies at a distance of about 25 km in the east of Port Blair. This beautiful beach is ideal for witnessing the colorful corals and enjoying swimming. As located near Port Blair, Wandoor beach is easily accessible

7. Red Skin/Jolly Buoy Island

– It is very famous for underwater corals and the pristine clear beach

 To reach Jolly Buoy island, visitors have to come to Wandoor Beach, Which is about 30 km from Port Blair by road. It takes about 30 – 45 minutes.

8. Chidiya Tapu

– Chidiya Tapu known as the bird island, is located 25 km from Port Blair. Chidiya Tapu is loved by nature lovers as well as adventure enthusiasts 

9. Ross Island

– Ross Island is located about 2 km east of Port Blair. This island reflects the era of British Rule and thus draws the attention of many tourists

10. Mount Harriet National Park

 – From the nine national parks housed by the island, Mount Harriet National Park is undoubtedly the most beautiful one. Located in Ferrargunj Tehsil of Port Blair

11. North Bay Island
